Our Comunity Partners ANHSI and the Alexandria Health Department continue their collaboration to ensure that all medically underserved individuals receive comprehensive primary health care. The Health Department continues to provide nutrition services, and through a contractual; agreement also provides adult and pediatric dental care. Our patients are referred to local health departments for traditional public health services. Contractual agreements are in place also with Alexandria Department of Mental Health to provide mental health counseling and prevention services. ANHSI partners with both the Alexandria and the Arlington Department of Human Services to support ongoing Medicaid/FAMIS outreach and eligibility services. Other key partners include Northern Virginia Family Services for referrals of clients, Alexandrians Involved Ecumenically (ALIVE), Carpenter's Shelter for the Homeless, local food banks, and churches, to assist with the need for food, clothing, furniture, rent subsidies, emergency aid, and shelter. We work with the Domestic Violence program for education, counseling and referrals; the Parent and Infant Education program (PIE) and Child Find, for developmentally delayed children and their families; and the Alexandria police, to provide child car seats to client families. The Virginia Primary Care Association and the National Association of Community Health Centers provide on-going technical assistance as we seek to fully develop our Federally Qualified Health Center. NOTE: Need to add a statement about collaboration with Inova Health System and Alexandria Hospital |
