Martha Wooten joined ANHSI on August 16, 2011 as Executive Director. Martha has devoted most of her thirty-year professional career to designing, developing and administering programs that meet the health care and human services needs of those individuals in our society most in need. Martha began her successful health care management career when helping to start the first community health center in her native state of West Virginia, then for fifteen years led community health centers in Maine before moving to New Mexico. As the Northwest Region Director of Presbyterian Medical Services in San Juan County,
New Mexico, she provided executive leadership to multiple programs and services for
over six and a half years. Programs under her leadership included Farmington Community
Health Center (a FQHC providing over 80,000 visits per year to a diverse client population);
six Head Start Sites; an Early Intervention Program; an Adult Supported Employment Program; Dr. Geetha Mathew MD, Medical Director
Dr. Mathew joined Alexandria Neighborhood Health Services, Inc. in September 2010, initially as a primary care physician at ANHSI’s Casey Health Center. She became ANHSI’s Medical Director on May 1, 2011. As Medical Director, Dr. Mathew provides clinical and administrative leadership, supervises the health center’s providers, and is responsible for assuring the quality, continuity, and appropriateness of medical care services.
